Wingscapes at the NSTA Portland Area Conference

For the next few days, science teachers from far and wide will be gathering in Portland, Oregon at the National Science Teachers Association (NSTA) Area Conference in that fair city. Naturally, as the Wingscapes BirdCam is such a superb educational tool for anyone teaching life sciences, a member of Team Wingscapes will be there demonstrating all the BirdCam has to offer in the classroom and beyond.

All those attending the area conference are heartily encouraged to stop by the Wingscapes booth located in space 112 in the exhibit hall at the Oregon Convention Center from November 20th through 22nd.

Opening Day at ABA 2008

Monday saw the first day of exhibits at the American Birding Association's national convention. Birding enthusiasts from all around North America and sometimes far beyond are flocking to Snowbird, Utah to get a look at the latest and greatest bird watching gear, books, and birding travel opportunities. Naturally, Wingscapes is among those companies exhibiting essential tools, such as the BirdCam, for the ardent birders assembled.

Of course, as with any birding gathering in the U.S., there are field trips. As Snowbird and the surrounding areas offer the hope of many a life bird for those not frequently finding themselves high in the western mountains, all those who gathered to check out the latest gear on Monday will on Tuesday be up before dawn heading out in search of what birds these still partially snow-covered peaks have to offer.
