From today: Red-breasted Nuthatch and Bushtits on the feeder. The feeder has homemade suet crumbles and black-oil sunflower in it.

I have been setting up my Wingscapes Bird Cam every day. I've been experimenting with how to set it. I like setting it to look for action every 10 minutes, and have it take 2 photos. It seems like the best distance is about 24" from the feeder. I cropped most of these photos. It's interesting to see how the light conditions change throughout the day. The brighter the better it seems. I look forward to spring and summer for some better lighting.
I generally despise the Starlings, but this little guy is just so cute. The Bird Cam captured him well. That's a good camera that makes me go "awwhh" for a Starling!!

"Mmmmm, suet dough!"
This is what it looks like set up on a tripod in our yard. The tripod works well and we don't mind sacrificing it to the rain.
